Hello,
I have installed kernel 2.2.16 which has ppp 2.3.11 installed and it was working fine
for a few weeks until I made a few changes to try and get Samba, DHCP and Netatalk to
work. After updating the relevant files pppd now will not connect the IPCP as you can
see in the text below, and I have to admit that I do not know what any of the messages
mean, unless there is a place where I can get this information from:-

The server I am trying to dial into is btclick.com, but I am sure the problem is not
at their end because they authenticate the username and password ok and they also
assign me a local and remote TCP/IP address which the IPCP on my machine promptly
disagrees with and cuts me off. The local IP address in my hosts file is 192.168.1.1.
I also have an ethernet card installed which has been assigned this address to serve
my local network daemons. Hope someone can help.
Michael.
