IIRC the /boot partition has to be completely within the first 1024
cylinders of the disk, or lilo doesn't like it...
Maybe you need to put the boot partitions in /dev/md0 before /dev/md1
partitions...

device 0x102 is /dev/kmem - I guess it can't mount the root filesystem, or
