Just a shot in the dark: Do you have either autodetect_raid compiled into the
kernel and raid disk partitions of type 0xfd? Or, if not, is the rc script
that activates the arrays running before the filesystems try to mount?
It sounds to me like You're not autodetecting or starting the raid arrays
before the system tries to automount the disks.
