I'm currently working on a book for O'Reilly entitled Managing RAID on Linux. It focuses on both software and hardware RAID under Linux, with some discussion of filesystems (ext2, xfs, reiser, ibm jfs). It deals with architecture as well as set up of software RAID and discussion of hardware controller availability, performance testing, HA, etc... Since the book is actually finally starting to look like a book, I've set up a list for feedback, which I'll periodically send material (chapters) to. Mailman page is at http://www.cynicism.com/mailman/listinfo/managing-raid The list is subscription by approval, so feel free to drop me a note after you subscribe. I won't spam the list with this again, sorry for the intrusion, but I figured it would be of interest to many of you. I'll likely start sending material off to the list at the end of this week. --- Derek Vadala, [EMAIL PROTECTED], http://www.cynicism.com/~derek - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-raid" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
