yep, the problem is that a 2.0 cleanup fix got forward ported into 2.1. 
Since the md.c in the latest RAID patch has changed drastically, this
single line fix messed up the whole patch. Solution until the next RAID
driver is released: undo the 2.1.125 md.c patch from 2.1.125 and apply the
RAID patch afterwards.
