I have a MegaRAID 418, and with the BIOS enabled, you can boot up from the
RAID drives directly. Just use Lilo.
Could you give some bonnie numbers on how exactly how fast your setup is?
I'm going to rewrite the driver to see if I can't improve it. Note that I
haven't any affiliation with AMI, and Jeffrey Jones (who _is_ affiliated
and who released the beta sources) didn't give any pointers on where the
hardware programming docs can be found.
