HOWTO?

Apologies in advance for those who have seen this asked many, many
times, but is there a HOWTO for raid on linux?
I am trying to set up a raid-0 or raid-5 system with 4 disks, and have
run aground. Please can someone point me to a site/list etc that will
give me clear instructions (simple bloke, me.....).
Failing that, how do I mount a raid system set up as md0 ?
