I just noticed this also:

[root@beethoven /root]# cat /proc/mdstat

[root@beethoven /root]# lsmod

raid0 1656 1 (autoclean)
raid5 14660 0 (unused)
3c59x 17732 1 (autoclean)
It is loading it as a raid0 device, even though my raidtab says raid5!
