not a raid prob. figure out what is wrong with your system.
use raidhotadd to get the device back into the array, then look at your
kernel. is hdc on a sep. controller and you built it as a module? did you
do something funny in the bios of the system? double check. i have done
that before. bios did not have second drive in it, but linux found it.
never know. do an lsmod, see if you have anything unusual that you dont
recall. kmod will stick them in while you are not looking. try compiling
kernel without kmod, and see if you can see hdc at all.
