I'm running Redhat 6 which comes with the 2.2.5 kernel. Does that mean I should be using the raid0145-2.2.6 patch from ftp.kernel.org? How do I incorporate this patch into the kernel. I couldn't find any directions. The patch starts with a lot of +'s and -'s. I presume those mark the differences between what the block_device.c file is and what it should be, but what is the proper way for me to update that file? john.
