Scenario:
Running raid1, two working drives
Pull power on one drive
At this point, the machine is useless until I put power back on the drive,
it just sits there retrying to reset and write to the device, even though
the raid module has detected the failure.
If I now put the power back on, the system will break loose and fully
recover into degraded mode.
If I now pull the power again, the system is fine, it doesn't care about the
loss of the drive/bus at this point.
It appears to me that even with the raid module detecting the failure, it
needs a working bus for long enough to issue a reset. Once the reset works,
it appears to fully recover.
At this point, it looks like this will be an acceptable solution to use for
stuff.
