Among raw-i/o and large memory/swap support.

The other projects are fdset (>10000 filedescriptors), which are merged
with Linus as I mail, and raw-i/o which is also merged the coming days.
Then he has some minor catch-ups to do and then JFS is top-of-the-bill.

XFS is a mainframe type/quality FS. It has not only journaling, but also
enhanced security and about everything else you can think of. You don't
need to use it all to have a working XFS (probably most people will go
for the journaling first) and so parts of the code do not need to be
compiled. But again, this is from linux-kernel of about a month ago. Oh,
and everyone from SGI said the code wasn't bloated due to bad code but
due to lotsa cases or whatever.

There is also something called dtfs, which is (also) a journaling fs for
