Hello, I've set up my DAC960 with 5 Seagate Elite disks, and 5 Seagate Barracudas. Now I always get a problem with "Physical Drive 0". Here is the setup: Mylex DAC960pg 3-channel, Barracudas connected to Channel 2 internally.Errors: DAC960#0: Physical Drive 2:1 Error Log: Sense key = 6, ASC = 29, ASCQ = 02 (and Information = 00000000 00000000 on the next line). This message it repeats from all drives 2:1 to 2:4. Then comes 2:0 : DAC960#0: Physical Drive 2:0 killed because of bad tag returned from drive DAC960#0: Physical Drive 2:0 is now DEAD DAC960#0: Logical Drive 1 (/dev/rd/c0d1) is now CRITICAL. This happened last week too, but then I didn't even manage to mke2fs it, which went smoothly this time. These errors occured while copying data onto the disk. I don't think the disk is broken, because I switched SCSI ID with another drive, and set up the controller again, and it still gives error on 2:0 though it's another disk. I'm running Mandrake 6.0 with 2.2.7 kernel and the "official" 2.2.2 patch for it. Any help deeply appreciated, I'm THAT close to finishing this server (1 week overdue)... Kent R.
