Hello,
Ihave a linux version 2.2.9-27mdk (Mandrake release 6.0 mdk),
a mkraid version 0.90.0 and I would like to make raid with
old disks (seagate ST4767N of 615Mo) so i write the configuration file like
that:
file /etc/raidtab: raiddev /dev/md0 raid-level 1 nr-raid-disks 2 nr-spare-disks 0 chunk-size 4 persistent-superblock 1 device /dev/sda raid-disk 0 device /dev/sdd raid-disk 1
file /proc/mdstat: Personalities : read_ahead not set md0 : inactive md1 : inactive md2 : inactive md3 : inactive and when i issue the mkraid /dev/md0 , the response is: handling MD device /dev/md0 analyzing super-block disk 0: /dev/sda, 649920KB, raid super-block at 649856KB disk 1: /dev/sdd, 649920KB, raid super-block at 649856KB mkraid: aborted
and the file /proc/mdstat don't change, so, can you help me to understand what must i do!! thank you very much. Bertrand Sauvageot
