I just learned (the hard way!) that you can raidhotadd /dev/md0 /dev/whatever
By accident I added /dev/hdc instead of /dev/hdc3 to a degraded RAID-1. And
it worked ! Well, it worked until the swap-partition on /dev/hdc2 got written
to which caused the ext2fs on /dev/md0 (which was then partly /dev/hda3 and partly
/dev/hdc - including /dev/hdc2) to get corrupted.
Shouldn't the raidhotadd command check that the supplied disk name to be added
is actually a valid device in the raidtab file ?
