Hi there,

first of all, I am a raiding newbie as well, so this is not even my two cents.

Yes it is a mailing list, and I am deeply impressed by the knowledge of the
guys
hanging out here...

Isn't one supposed to use id 'fd' for Raid partitions so that they get
autodetected
by the kernel at boot time?????

In the only Howtos I was able to find there was mentioned that raiding of swap
does not work yet, but causes the system to crash!!!!!!
But then again, those howtos were pretty old:
     mentioned --superblock-only and --force-resync
which are not valid options for mkraid anymore.
And no word lost about raidhotadd, raidhotremove....

So this might have changed as well!!!

YES, this is a hidden question of whether there is some newer howtos, doc out
there....

best regards
