All,

        Just as a note, this still hasn't fixed the problem. I have
compiled and put into place the 2.2.13ac kernel and tried this test again
with the same results. As I mentioned before, I have a total of 4 - 4Gig
disks. I made two sets of linear devices (8Gig a piece) and then mirrored
them both. I start an ftp transfer to the mirrored drive and then remove
the first disk of the mirror and watch what happens.

Messages of this nature start scrolling on my screen:

<etc...>

Eventually the transfer hangs (uncomplete) and the disk activity ceases
(while the messages are still scrolling). When I re-insert the disk that
I removed, it takes about 30 seconds and then the messages stop and the
transfer resumes.

This is of course not the expected result. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Brian
