Do it in Slack's way: if you can access /boot, and your kernel image
file *is* in /boot, do a raw copy of image file to disk, and try to boot
with it.

This will not recover nothing except will make you try to use any of
your partition/raid disks (if you can initialize the rc.? scripts (and
run at least the basic and raid binaries, usually in /bin, /sbin and
libraries in /lib).

In another (better) approach, see /usr/doc/Linux-HOTWO/Bootdisk-HOWTO,
and add to it the raid tools.
