-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
I have a new system on which I have just installed RedHat 6.1 and am
using RAID 1 on /boot with RAID 5 on everything else. I have an IDE
CD-RW (Memorex 1622). I've been looking through old messages and seen
comments on problems with IDE+SMP for RAID. The RAID devices are all
Ultra2 LVD SCSI; the CD-RW is IDE using ide-scsi. Without fail, any
attempt to record a CD results in a system lockup. The exact lockup
point seems to vary, but I can't get through a full burn.
Does this sound like it might be related to the SMP+IDE raid bug or
should I start looking elsewhere?
