Maybe other things (dead drives, bad raidtab?) can break it so "dude,
get a kernel" may be an incorrect message? To be honest, if detecting
underlying kernel raid ver was possibly I find it highly unlikely (but
possible) that Ingo would have left out such a check in the raidtools
code with an appropriate output. Could be wrong, though :)
