Hi!
My job next week will be updating an older RAID system. It's based on
the SuSE distribution and I don't even know if it uses "old style"
RAID or "new style" RAID. I only have experiences with "new style"
RAID. How do I easily determine if old style or new style RAID is
used?
The RAID has a total capacity of about 70 G, with 50 G used. I am not
sure if I have spare capacity available to pull all data from the RAID
for the update. Is there a migration path or procedure to safely
update the RAID to new style without data loss?
Any hints will be appreciated.
