Make sure that your kernel and raidtools are the same version.  The kernels
are shipping with the old raid code, if you want the new code, patch the
kernel.  Patches up to 2.2.13 are on ftp.kernel.org or your friendly mirror,
the patch for 2.2.14 is at http://www.redhat.com/~mingo/
