Hi there,
I downloaded the latest raid patch(raid0145-19990824-2.2.11.gz) and am
having a bit of trouble patching it in Slackware 7.0. As stated in the
Kernel HOWTO, this is how I attempted to patch:
'zcat raidxxxxx.gz | patch -p0'
The system responds with:
can't find file to patch at input line 3
Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?
The text leading up to this was:
-----------------------
|--- linux/fs/block_dev.c.orig Fri May 28 18:20:36 1999
|--- linux/fs/block_dev.c Tue Aug 24 10:23:50 1999
-----------------------
File to patch:
I entered block_dev.c, however the same error comes up, except different
file names, and different line numbers:
line 104/buffer.c
line 294/main.c
>From there it patches about 15 files, then gives this error:
'The next patch would delete the file linux/include/linux/raid5.h, which
does not exist! Assume -R? [n]
I didn't want to mudge anything up, so I just CTRL-C'd back to the prompt.
What are your thoughts? This is kernel 2.2.13.
Thanks again,
-Jamie
