Hi all

This is my first experience with software-raid and I would like to ask a
couple of questions.
I have two 20GB EIDE HD.
Currently I have implemented raid this way (i.e. partioning the Hds):
# cat /proc/mdstat

Personalities : [raid0] [raid1]
read_ahead 1024 sectors
md0 : active raid1 hdc1[1] hda1[0] 136448 blocks [2/2] [UU]
md1 : active raid1 hdc5[1] hda5[0] 5124608 blocks [2/2] [UU]
md2 : active raid1 hdc6[1] hda6[0] 3076352 blocks [2/2] [UU]
md3 : active raid1 hdc7[1] hda7[0] 2048192 blocks [2/2] [UU]
md4 : active raid1 hdc8[1] hda8[0] 136448 blocks [2/2] [UU]
md5 : active raid1 hdc9[1] hda9[0] 136448 blocks [2/2] [UU]
md6 : active raid1 hdc10[1] hda10[0] 9381824 blocks [2/2] [UU]
unused devices: <none>

Is it right to partition the disk or is more confortable to make only a
partition since if I have to replace a disk I don't have to remake all
these partition?
I would like some advice...

Last question:

What is the meaning of these numbers?

md2 : active raid1 hdc6[1] hda6[0] 3076352 blocks [2/2] [UU]
                        ^ ^ ^ ^ ^^

Thanks all
