I believe it was posted here a couple of days ago that DELL is
providing a binary only driver for the PERC3 embedded controller for the
2400/2450 440/4450 series Poweredge servers. I have not seen this myself,
but I would goto Dell's support section and do a listing for drivers by
your system type - I just checked and see that there is a PERC3 driver for
redhat6.2 there.

AFAIK, the aic-7899 should NOT see the logical drive, as it is
controlled directly by the PERC3 raid controller.
