RAID upgrade from RH6.1 to RH6.2

I am currently running RH6.1 + Mingo's RAID patch.  Inorder to upgrade the
system to RH6.2 do I have to break the mirror and then upgrade, or is it
safe to use Redhat's upgrade boot disk ? Has anyone successfully done this
?
