Yeah, I hate that "moving target" thing that Linux does with disks. I don't
know whether or not RAID works with devfs, I haven't gotten around to trying
it just yet. There are patches for the newer 2.2.x stock kernels at
http://www.redhat.com/~mingo/, you'll have to try them to find out if they
work with devfs.
