Unfortunately, in order to not break things, the default label must be set
to something, although I'm not sure what happens if you set it to something
invalid. You can configure lilo so that it waits forever, regardless of
whether or not you have a default label specified. The only thing that the
default label does in that configuration is to specify the kernel to boot if
you simply press <enter>. Later,
