Hi, I´ve connected a scsi scanner to a USCSI Card with the atp870u/w chip. Although it works fine with other attached devices it produces failures with the scanner attached. A friend told me that the short bufferlenght of the inquiry request (36byte) should be the cause of this strange behavior. Can I just enlarge this to "cure" that and what size would be ok? Sorry, but I have to find a solution for this and since I found an entry like "Why limit this?" I want to correct it. It seems to be an old problem, I found this bottleneck in the 2.2.13 kernel too.
