What is wrong with them?
Probably nothing, except that they carry a filesystem with
blocksize 512.

I think that Linux used to support such things, but in
patch 2.1.32 a lot of code was brutally removed, breaking
all kinds of unusual iso9660 file systems.
You might try an earlier kernel, say 2.0.39.
If that works for you then maybe 2.2 and 2.4 must be
improved a little more.
I wouldnt mind seeing the first few MB (from dd if=/dev/...),
in case it is easy for you to put them on some www or ftp site.
