Thanks to all who sent me a solution. The one I used (and it worked) was booting from an installation floppy, (created using rawrite) loading the SCSI module and then booting the installed system. Once in the system I could recompile the kernel and point LILO to the new kernel. (As advised in the SuSE manual, I left a vmlinuz.old in /boot to leave myself a way in should the compiled kernel be defective) Everything worked fine after that. Thanks again Mark ____________________________________________________________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1 - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-scsi" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
