I use linux 2.2.14 on a PIII with libc2.2 (based on SuSE 6.4). The driver for works fine. SCSI storage controller: Adaptec AIC-7895U (rev 3). Medium devsel. Fast back-to-back capable. IRQ 10. Master Capable. Late ncy=64. Min Gnt=8.Max Lat=8. I/O at 0xd400 [0xd401]. Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xfaffe000 [0xfaffe000]. I use xcdroast with cdrecord 1.8.1 to write cds on a Host: scsi1 Channel: 00 Id: 05 Lun: 00 Vendor: YAMAHA Model: CRW4260 Rev: 1.0e Type: CD-ROM ANSI SCSI revision: 02 After an update to 2.2.19 i found that xcdroast burns only 2CDs and then stops. A scan of the pci-bus shows the the Yamaha is now missing completly. I tried a mount, that hangs even kill -9 does not help here. A remove of the driver causes the system to freeze. The behavier is also after reboot. Note: both CDs are readable I have tried this on an other computer with 2.2.19 and a SCSI storage controller: Adaptec AHA-2940U2/W Here the drive vanish soon as used. walter ps: can i help to debug the problem ? - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-scsi" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
