Hi, We have done some analysis on this issue. From our analysis we observed that, this issue is reproducible on kernel 3.1.10 onwards but in 3.0.36 this issue is not reproducible. So, we have taken the mpt2sas code from 3.1.10 kernel and compiled and run it on 3.0.36 kernel. Here this issue is not reproducible (i.e. it is working fine).
From 3.0.36 kernel onwards we have not added any patches that will cause this issue. So, what I mean to say is "this issue is not because of mpt2sas driver".
