Probably the kernel you have installed has wd7000 support compiled in - I
know the kernel on the debian install-cdrom does... if you have a kernel
on floppy which boots the machine and knows about the 7890, you could try
copying that to the sd and running lilo to make the sd bootable... or
better yet compiling an appropriate kernel and then booting that. I didn't
think the 7890 was supported yet, but if the kernel on your floppy
recognises it, then I guess it is :)
