No, but you can make meaningful measurements :)

I think the issue here is actually the OS and filesystem.  I'm willing to bet 
that OpenServer is doing synchronous writes, and Linux does async.  It would 
then take the same amount of time to do the data transfer, but the Linux cp 
would just return faster.  That, and that particular OS isn't well-known for 
its blazing speed. :)
