I am running RedHat 5.2 on an alpha. The version of fdisk is 2.8 kernel
version is 2.0.35. I've also had this problem on an Intell box using a
DPT raid controller and a 130 gig raid made of 8 23 gig segates. The
version of fdisk on the intell box was 2.1. Isn't cfdisk just a shell for
fdisk? Below are the kernel boot messages.

Very good. So only fdisk output is missing.
And no, cfdisk is not a shell for fdisk.
Instead it is an independent, and much less buggy, program.
