I am running Debian Hamm (2.0.34) on a machine in an ISP.
The controller is a dawicontrol one. The controller was
running fine before I sent the machine off though I
confess I swapped out a fast IDE CDROM and added an old
slow SCSI CDROM before I sent the machine and I can't
remember now whether I tested the CDROM or the SCSI
chain before I sent the machine off...
... cut to image from Dirty Harry with magnum pointed
at own head ... "in all the excitement, I just can't
remember ..." (feeble grin)

Now the SCSI chain is dead and I want as much advice
as I can get before I try to talk the ISP through
helping me undo this. I'll enclose dmesg output in
hope someone gets a tip about what's wrong.

TIA!

Chris
