Hi,

Ever since 2.2.0pre8, I have not been able to boot the kernel with
scsi-emulation enable for my hp burner. After the aic7xxx driver (version
5.1.10) detects my scsi hard drive, the cdr gets detected and the kernel
stops booting:

Detected scsi CD-Rom at sr0 at scsi1, channel 0, id 0, lun 0
SCSI Channel 0:resetting for second half of retries.
SCSI bus is being reset for host 1 channel 0.
SCSI: aborting command due to timeout: pid 25, scsi 1, channel 0, id 0,
lun 1, Request Sense 20 00 00 10 00
scsi: detected 1 SCSI CD-Rom 1 SCSI Disk total.
**freezes**

Without scsi emulation, it boots fine, but then I can't burn cd's. Kernel
2.0.36 with an older aic7xxx driver (version 5.1.4) boots fine. Is there
a newer aic7xxx driver that will fix this? Or is it a problem with
scsi-emulation?

Thanks,
Mike
