Are you sure that the SCSI cable is a 68 pin one ?   If you connect
a wide host adapter to a wide disk (or disk chassis), but with a non
wide cable, you will get errors, such as parity errors.

Try to disable WIDE negociation in the SCSI BIOS.

Also, if this had been a 875 I would have told you to check that the
drives are *externally* terminated since most new Seagate models
don't have internal termination anymore.

You need one termination per bus.

Is this Intel Hot Swap bay just one single SCSI channel or is there
a SCSI processor + RAM + many SCSI chips ?
