First of all, thanks for the response.
Here is the relative output from /proc/pci with the card installed under
2.2.10.
Bus 0, device 11, function 0:
SCSI storage controller: Adaptec Unknown device (rev 3).
Vendor id=9004. Device id=3860.
Medium devsel. Fast back-to-back capable. IRQ 9. Master Capable.
Latency=32. Min Gnt=4.Max Lat=4.
I/O at 0x6100 [0x6101].
Non-prefetchable 32 bit memory at 0xe4000000 [0xe4000000].
A modprobe aix7xxx results in this with the card installed:
/lib/modules/2.2.10/scsi/aic7xxx.o: init_module: Device or resource busy
