right. It's possible the Linux kernel doesn't really discriminate, or
it discriminate based on the transfer length. I don't really know.

However, on most SCSI disk drives, you can disable error reporting when
the error is corrected, that should hide the problem (assuming you
can do it on this CD-ROM ...)
