Do you have any info on how to create a boot disk to load Linux on a
Compaq Proliant 4500R. The built in scsi is not recognized like a
typical aspi device and I need to make a boot disk to allow the cd-rom
to be recognized so I can load Linux from a cd-rom and create the
system on the CPQ 4500R.
The server has the following configuration:
Compaq Proliant 4500R with 448mb memory, 9.1 GB
SCSI hard drive,
4 - Pentium 166 processors, 10/100 Compaq net
flex ethernet card, Compaq
token ring net flex card, Compaq built in SCSI
adapter, Compaq SCSI
cd-rom, 1.44fd, Compaq built in video, Compaq
33.6 data/fax modem. The
hard drive is unpartitioned (blank) except for
the Compaq setup (F10)
partition.
