Thanks for all the help,
I found tar and cpio commands too complicated for a first-time-user, would
you please give me an example of tar or cpio command for back-uping from a
remote machine via nfs.
In real life local machine is physio.ktu.edu.tr and I want to back-up the
two directories of meds.ktu.edu.tr, say /home and /etc directories. I am
root on both machines and NFS is running ok. I'll put the command to the
physio.... cron to make twice a week back-ups. scsi tape-backup unit is on
/dev/nst0 on physio.ktu.edu.tr.
If you give me this example of tar or cpio command this will be
2-days-saver for me.
Thanks in advance.
