I solved this problem: the screw securing the card was pulling the
back of the controller out of the PCI slot. It was possible to adjust
the connector plate to allow the card to seat correctly.

Subject: New tape system
I have a new tape system (ADIC FastStor22) which is attached to a
Mylex adapter. I can activate the adapter, and see that it is
installed, but I don't see any sign of the tape drive. Should the
host adapter bios see the drive? If so, I have a problem. If not, how
do I test to see if the system is seeing the drive?
