Added a replacement DDS-2 DAT tape drive to my SCSI chain last night.
Now I get the following log messages. Not sure how to reproduce.

Jan 27 04:13:41 server kernel: (scsi0:0:5:0) Performing Domain validation.
Jan 27 04:13:41 server kernel: (scsi0:0:5:0) Successfully completed Domain validation.

***** What do these mean? Are these cause for worry? *****
Apart from these, the tape drive seems to be working fine.
Been running DAT on linux for 3 years, never seen any of these before.
I'm reasonably sure I have the chain terminated properly.
This is on Debian-2.1, kernel 2.2.10.
