I no longer buy hp scsi devices, and would sugjest that any body that
wants support do like wise. when i had trouble with thier cd rom burner i
got back a vendor specific error message and when i call for help, a url
somthing. the respose i got was ur not using r software. i said i didnt
buy ur software i bought ur hardware, and threw the software away. moral
of the story u can buy hp's tech docs on pcl, buy printers, u cant get
tech info on scsi devices why cause they farmed it out, dont have copy
rights, hence cant wont tell u squat about there scsi products. last
stament is a guess, but its the answer lexmark was able to give me at
least when i asked for specs on medy 4c office in box, that i wanted to
use on linux. they said we dont own the copyrights to the software so we
cant give them to u.

My opinions are my own and not that of my employer even if I am self employed
