I have a tekram dc395 scsi contorller and a pioneer DVD-Rom 303 and a Ricoh
CD-RW drive installed with Redhat 6.1. I patched the kernel sources and
recompiled with the tekram source (btw does anyone know if the source for
this controller will be in any future kernel releases?) anyway my question.
The CD-RW drive works fine when reading from or writing to, but the dvdirom
has problems. if I copy say a tarfile from it and try to extract it it is
corrupted. If I try to copy a large file it stopy and says something about
resetting scsi bus. I tried to use it to read a disk I was makeing an image
of to copy to a cd-r and I kept getting drive read errors. Anyway I am not
real familiar with configuring scsi devices, could someone help me with what
is going on here. Is it something I need to change in the scsi bios or is
there some type of boot parameters I need to make sure the dvd-rom works
right.
Thanks for any help
