This is a little feedback to close the loop and maybe help some others. I eventually went back to the Digi support team and after extensive debug work discovered that the specific card that I was using (8r 422) was not currently supported - even with version 1.3.4beta2. It appears that someone in the engineering group didn't think of the 422 applications! Kudo's to the support team who stuck it out with me and then went further to help develop a patch that got it up and running. I have been told that this problem should be remedied in the next release.
