Thanks for responding to my e-mail.  
I've already added the mgetty lines to the inittab.  The tech supp. 
guy from digi int. says I need to "train" the modem accept incoming
calls...
In checking out digiboard's website, I saw something to the effect:
cu -l /dev/ttyD0 -s 38400....
I'm not sure what this does or how to get it to work for me

Any ideas??
