For use two modems at sametime.
I had tried the eql all night . but I failed !
following is what I did:
1. I downloaded the eql-1.2.tar.gz, But it can not patched to kernel, and can't
compile. it camplain:
eql_enslave.c:17: /usr/src/linux/drivers/net/eql.h: No such file or directory
maybe it is too old (1996) for my new kernel(linux 2.2.5-15) .I use redhat 6.0
I read the kernel source file eql.c which use <linux/if_eql.h> and I changed the
eql_enslave included file eql.h to if_eql. then it work. I got the executable file
eql_enslave.
2./sbin/modprobe eql
3./sbin/ifconfig eql 192.168.0.1 mtu 1500
4. /sbin/route add default eql
5.then I connect to Internet with my modem, it works ok.
6.eql_enslave eql ppp0 57600
it is some times not ok if ppp0 use mtu 1524 not 1500
it complain: master (eql) and slave (ppp0) MTU settings do not match.
but the ppp0's mtu is not the same as I dialed to my isp each time.
who can tell me what should I do?
